St Bride's, Fleet Street is a warm and welcoming Christian community, and one of the most famous and most fascinating historic churches in Central London.

St Bride's is known worldwide as the Journalists' Church, offering a spiritual home to all who work in the media. However, our ministry extends to everyone who lives and works within our parish, and to the thousands of visitors who come to us every year. Our beautiful Wren church provides a place of peace and a spiritual haven in the heart of the city for all who come. With one of the best professional choirs in the country, we are also well known for the outstanding quality of our music and of the worship we offer.

A place of Christian worship for 1500 years, we continue to proclaim the love of God here today. Whether journalist, tourist, City resident or worker, you will always be made very welcome.Alison Joyce

'My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord.' (Luke 1: 46)

This prayer of Mary, the mother of Jesus, which we know as the Magnificat, explains her wonder at being chosen to bear the son of God. But her prayer doesn't focus on herself; instead she praises the wonders of God. Even at this terrifying moment of her life, she finds the strength to look beyond her immediate concerns, and focus on the One to whom worship is really due.

Lord God, You chose Mary to be the mother of your Son, may we follow her example of wonder and obedience so that we may know, as Mary did, the joy of your love. Amen.
