St Bride's Church, Fleet Street: spiritual home of the media

In November we hold a cluster of services, all of which have the theme of Remembering at their heart.

Our All Saints' Day Choral Eucharist and All Souls' tide Commemoration of the Faithful Departed on 4th November remembering those who have touched our lives but are now departed; Remembrance Sunday on 11th November, particularly poignant as the centenary of the Armistice falls on the same day; & our annual Journalists' Service on 20th November at which we commemorate the journalists, camera-crew, photographers and support staff whose mission it is to bring us the news. #Journalist_Service    Further Information

St Bride's, Fleet Street is a warm and welcoming Christian community, and one of the most famous and most fascinating historic churches in Central London.

St Bride's is known worldwide as the Journalists' Church, offering a spiritual home to all who work in the media. However, our ministry extends to everyone who lives and works within our parish, and to the thousands of visitors who come to us every year. Our beautiful Wren church provides a place of peace and a spiritual haven in the heart of the city for all who come. With one of the best professional choirs in the country, we are also well known for the outstanding quality of our music and of the worship we offer.

A place of Christian worship for 1500 years, we continue to proclaim the love of God here. Whether journalist, tourist, City resident or worker, you will always be made welcome.
Alison Joyce, Rector of St Bride's

November 14

'Only Naaman the Syrian was cured.' (Luke 4: 27)

Sometimes it is important to think outside the box. Naaman was ill, and was advised to consult an Israelite prophet, Elistia. Sryria and Israel were enemies, but Naaman set aside his prejudice, and found health and God. Often we are tempted to impose limits on what we think God can do. We need to think outside the box of our limited understand or expectation, and pray for an enlarged vision of what God can do in our lives.

Lord, Help us to set you free from the constraints of our own minds and to think outside the box of our limited vision. Amen.

A Space For Silence

St Bride's church provides a space for silence every weekday evening between 5 and 6pm; a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Fleet Street and the City of London.

You are welcome to join us and come and go as you please.

Commune with your own heart ... and be still (Psalm 4:4)
