Inspire! Sunday

St Bride's Church warmly invites all our congregation, past and present, and any others who wish to join us, to a celebration of all that is special about our church and its people on Sunday 24th September at 11am.

The service gives us all an opportunity to share in an act of thanksgiving, renew friendships and make new ones, and enjoy a glass of wine and light refreshments after the service.

Our regular choir will be joined by the St Bride's Orchestra for a liturgical perfomance of the Missa Sancti Nicolai by Haydn.

You can even vote now for which hymns we will sing. Read On...

September 20

'Collect the weeds and burn them, then gather in the wheat.' (Matthew 13: 30)

The parable of the wheat and the weeds is all about the ambiguous world in which we live: the evil intermingled with the good. Often we don't know the right choice to make, and we struggle to identify what is the common good. We have to make the best choices we can, using our reason, and our faith, to guide us. God's patience allows us the chance to grow and learn from our choices, knowing that in due time all will be made clear.

Lord, may we bear good fruit for your glory, work for justice and peace, and become part of your glorious harvest at the end of time. Amen.
