St Bride's, Fleet Street is a warm and welcoming Christian community, and one of the most famous and most fascinating historic churches in Central London.

St Bride's is known worldwide as the Journalists' Church, offering a spiritual home to all who work in the media. However, our ministry extends to everyone who lives and works within our parish, and to the thousands of visitors who come to us every year. Our beautiful Wren church provides a place of peace and a spiritual haven in the heart of the city for all who come. With one of the best professional choirs in the country, we are also well known for the outstanding quality of our music and of the worship we offer.

A place of Christian worship for 1500 years, we continue to proclaim the love of God here. Whether journalist, tourist, City resident or worker, you will always be made welcome.
Alison Joyce, Rector of St Bride's

A Space For Silence

St Bride's church provides a space for silence every weekday evening between 5 and 6pm; a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Fleet Street and the City of London.

You are welcome to join us and come and go as you please.

Commune with your own heart ... and be still (Psalm 4:4)

February 22

"One the hand is laid on the plough, no one who looks back is fit for the kingdom of God." (Luke 9: 62)

Jesus often used exaggerated imagery and stark words to bring home to people his message and shock them into making a response. He is reminding his hearers that following the way of the cross is not a hobby but a lifetime commitment which requires perseverance. His words cut through the excuses we often make to avoid facing the challenge which Jesus makes.

Lord, renew your spirit within us, so that we will be swift to answer your call and ready to persevere in following you. Amen.
