Our doors are now open for private prayer. Public worship and general visiting remain suspended, but Sunday services are available online to listen to at home, collated from our archive of live music recordings and newly recorded readings, prayers and sermon for the appointed day.

We hope this proves a comfort in these difficult times and a way to preserve our community of faith and fellowship.

Services are streamed as live on Facebook at 11am & 5:30pm each Sunday. They are released concurrently to be listened to at any time on this website in Listen Online, on SoundCloud & as the "St Bride's Church" podcast.

'Now you are speaking plainly!' (John 16: 29)

Jesus' disciples go on to say, with relief, that he is no longer using metaphors. In other words they had become frustrated with what they felt were his opaque utterances about himself. Jesus often used parables and sayings whose meaning his followers had to work out for themselves. The map of faith is sometimes not easy to understand, and we have to wrestle with our minds to make sense of it. But that is how 'the faith' becomes 'our faith' - through painful experience and intellectual struggle.

Lord God, often I don't understand what you are saying to me in the events of my daily life and the world around me. Open my mind and my heart that I may be receptive to your word. Amen.

St Bride's, Fleet Street is a warm and welcoming Christian community, and one of the most famous and most fascinating historic churches in Central London.

St Bride's is known worldwide as the Journalists' Church, offering a spiritual home to all who work in the media. However, our ministry extends to everyone who lives and works within our parish, and to the thousands of visitors who come to us every year. Our beautiful Wren church provides a place of peace and a spiritual haven in the heart of the city for all who come. With one of the best professional choirs in the country, we are also well known for the outstanding quality of our music and of the worship we offer.

A place of Christian worship for 1500 years, we continue to proclaim the love of God here. Whether journalist, tourist, City resident or worker, you will always be made welcome.
