Christian Dawson has completed two Master of Music in Performance degrees at the Royal Northern College of Music - where he was the recipient of the Humphrey Dayas Piano Prize and The Clifton Helliwell Memorial Award - and Guildhall School of Music & Drama.  Prior to this, Christian completed a Bachelor of Music degree with 1st Class Honours from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

Christian has performed at the Oxford Lieder Festival, the North West New Music Festival (2012), the Machynlleth Festival (2013), and The City of London Festival (2014), the Reflections of Debussy Festival at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, as well as St. John's Smith Square, London, and SJE Arts, Oxford.  Christian has also performed in the presence of HRH Princess Anne, HRH Prince Michael of Kent, HRH the Duke of Gloucester and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.

Christian's previous professors include Eugene Asti, Paul Roberts and Mikhail Kazakevich. He has also participated in many masterclasses and received coaching and one-to-one tuition from eminent artists including Graham Johnson, Julius Drake, Iain Burnside, Nelson Goerner, Steven Osborne, Piers Lane, Noriko Ogawa and Stephen Hough. Christian has vast experience as a vocal accompanist, and has performed many songs and cycles by composers including Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, Schumann, Mahler, Strauss, Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Poulenc, Stravinsky and Britten. In 2015 Christian was awarded the Lady Grenfell-Baines Accompanist Prize in the final of the Emmy Destinn Award held in London.

Christian is very much in demand as a piano teacher.  His extensive teaching practice is comprised of students who have gained considerable success in both ABRSM examinations and competitions, as well as achieving very high standards on the performance platform. In addition to his musical endeavours, Christian is the author of one book: The Midnight Tryst and Other Short Stories.
