Daniel Kearney began as a mostly self-taught pianist who went on to study with Ireland's leading teachers including Jan Cap, Dr John O'Conor and Finghin Collins. He has been awarded scholarships to the Cork School of Music and the Royal Irish Academy of Music and has been a senior prize-winner in the Feis Maitiu, Cork and Feis Ceoil, Dublin. Daniel has been awarded the Finlay Award for gifted young pianists from the Dublin International Piano Competition and the Ted and Mary O'Regan Arts Bursary from Waterford Arts. Winning the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland's Soloist competition saw him give performances to almost 40,000 people on tour with the orchestra. Daniel has performed in some of Ireland's most prestigious venues including the National Concert Hall, the RDS, Christchurch Cathedral and The Large Room at Waterford City Hall. Daniel is currently embarked on a tour of Europe with recitals in Edinburgh, Helsinki, London, Brighton, Geneva and Paris.
