The Artists
Titika Maragoula received her MM in Voice Performance from California State University Northridge, Los Angeles. She has collaborated with the Chorus of the National Lyric Opera of Athens at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus (Athens Festival) in Verdi’s Aida (Loukas Karytinos, conductor) and the Sinfonietta of Athens, (George Aravides, conductor).
Concert highlights include Christmas Musicfest under the Byzantine Dome, at the St Sophia Cathedral in Los Angeles; Bach’s Cantata ‘Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen’ and Mozart’s ‘Ergo interest…Quaere superna’, K143, at St John’s Episcopal Church in Detroit; the song cycle ‘Cantares de mi Tierra’ by Julio Osma at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art; Mozart’s ‘Exsultate, jubilate’ at the Église Saint-Philbert in Noirmoutier-en-l’Île with members of the Orchestra of the National Opera of Paris; and the soprano solos in Mozart’s Requiem at St Michael’s Church, Bishop’s Stortford. From 2000 – 2010 Titika regularly performed repertoire ranging from J S Bach to Ennio Morricone with the quintet ‘New Artists Ensemble’, based in Athens.

Based in Stansted, Essex, Richard Carr performs as soloist and accompanist on the piano, organ and harpsichord, and teaches piano, organ and singing to many students, both privately, and as a visiting music tutor at Howe Green House School and Hockerill Anglo-European College.
As accompanist, he has performed in France, Germany, Ireland, Belgium, Italy, the USA, and in many British venues, including York Minster, Westminster Abbey, King’s College Cambridge, Ely Cathedral, Gloucester Cathedral, Tewkesbury Abbey, Wells Cathedral, Hereford Cathedral, Salisbury Cathedral, Canterbury Cathedral, Worcester Cathedral and St Albans Abbey.
He is the regular rehearsal accompanist for Saffron Walden Choral Society, and is frequently in demand as an accompanist for other large choirs in the area, including Hertford Choral Society, Bishop’s Stortford Choral Society, Harlow Chorus, Felsted Choral Society, North Herts Guild of Singers and Barnet Choral Society. In recent years, Richard has had the privilege of accompanying workshops for leading choral composers and conductors, including Bob Chilcott, John Rutter, Brian Kay, Greg Beardsell, James Burton and James Davey.
