St Bride’s enjoys a close association with four Livery Companies, for whom we host services and events each year. These include patronal festivals, special commemorative services, and for one of our Companies, the installation of the new Master and Wardens for the coming year.
Through our close spiritual and pastoral links with the liveries we are sometimes invited to hold memorial events, and other services, for individual Company members.
We also host the annual Harvest Thanksgiving service for the British Guild of Agricultural Journalists.
Every year we welcome back the staff, pupils and governors of King Edward’s School, Witley – a school which, until the 16th century, was situated in our parish, adjacent to St Bride’s. This annual service of re-dedication takes place in the presence of the Lord Mayor, the Sheriffs, and other City officials and dignitaries. The Head Boy and Head Girl, of KESW are invited to join the Guild of St Bride at the start of their term of office, and contribute to our regular Sunday Eucharists on several occasions throughout the year.
We are always pleased to receive enquiries from similar organisations who are interested in holding services here. If you would like to know more, please contact claire.seaton@stbrides.com.
